Step 1 #
Install a 9V battery into the ultrasonic device as per the instruction manual.
Turn the button to “T” for a test. Make sure it works.
Step 2 #
Set the device to work mode (1-3).
According to the range of dog barking, it can be set to 1-2-3 levels range, the maximum distance is 15 meters.
We suggest that first start with the lowest 1 level since it will not be as much of a shock to your dog.
Step 3 #
When the ultrasonic Anti Bark device is within range of a barking dog, an internal microphone picks up the sound. The unit automatically emits an ultrasonic tone that can be heard by dogs, the dog should stop barking once they associate the tone with their bark.
If the ultrasonic tone bothers your dog it may cause them to bark non-stop, please turn off the device.
Turn on the device while waiting for the dog to bark again. In time it will associate its bark with this sound. When the dog stops barking, the ultrasonic tone also stops.
Step 4 #
Position the device high enough to maintain a clear line-of-sight to the area where the dog is. Any obstructions will lessen the effect. Ensure the device is the proper distance from the dog as per the instruction manual.
According to consumer’s feedback, reduced barking should be noticed within 7 to 14 days. Many dogs require six weeks of training.
